The positive properties of the thermoplastic polymer PEEK as a filament are diverse. PAEK is a further development of PEEK for use in additive manufacturing. Especially the Z-direction stability in the FFF process is significantly improved with PAEK.

The industries that use PEEK are diverse, including mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry, the maritime industry, the nuclear energy industry, the oil and gas industry, the electronics industry, the aerospace industry, and the medical industry. Components manufactured from this material are often chosen as replacements for metal parts. The maximum product properties of PEEK are achieved in the semi-crystalline state, which can be obtained by subsequently heating components in a suitable furnace. To achieve high dimensional accuracy of components and the desired quality, there are high requirements for the 3D printer, including a high extrusion temperature of 400°C, an actively and evenly heatable build chamber at 180°C, and a heated build platform.

High design freedom for components is achieved with the lye-soluble support material ESM-10.
