Formlabs Form 4 / Form 4B
The new Form 4 / Form 4B from Formlabs. Lightning-fast for industrial-quality mass production.
With a print speed up to five times faster than previous Form 3/3B printers and a build volume 30% larger, the Formlabs Form 4 is taking resin-based additive manufacturing into the next dimension. Thanks to the new MSLA (Masked Stereolithography) technology, Formlabs has further enhanced the precision, reliability and user-friendliness for which this generation is known.
Record-breakingly fast. The speed of the Form 4 is based on Formlabs‘ new Low Force Display™ technology, a powerful printing system consisting of high-performance LEDs, collimator lenses, optical filters, and a robust liquid crystal display.
More precisely. Sharpest details at 50 µm minimum feature size for razor-sharp precision. Smoothest surfaces at 50 µm pixel size and advanced edge smoothing for sub-pixel resolution. Precise assemblies with tight tolerances that always guarantee an accurate fit.
Smart handling of materials. A major advantage over other SLA and MSLA printers is the smart and straightforward handling of the resin cartridges, which are inserted into the printer while still sealed. Messy pouring and refilling are eliminated. A valve at the bottom of the cartridge automatically replenishes the tank with just enough resin to keep it adequately filled.
The resin cartridges are chipped and are recognised by the printer and the print preparation software. If there is not enough resin left in the cartridge, a warning is generated.
Wide variety of materials. Master every challenge with industry-leading materials, or explore further possibilities through an open platform. Utilise materials optimised for impact resistance, rigidity, flame retardancy, flexibility, and more. Non-acrylic chemical compositions such as true silicone, ceramics and polyurethane.
NOTICE: The previous Form3 cartridges are Not compatible with Form 4.
The Form 4 / Form 4B begins with materials that correspond to Form3 resins. Step by step, all materials will be added as usual, and the portfolio will be expanded.
15 minutes from unboxing to first print. All components (build platform, resin, vat) are automatically detected and the intuitive operation of the display is clearly supported. The user guidance clearly guides through setup and the printing process. The Preform software for production preparation is easy to learn. If required, tutorials are available from Formlabs and 3Dokuteam online training for support.
Produce astonishing parts that always fit and even compete with injection moulded parts. Create more components thanks to short printing times.
