Future-oriented cost reduction in research and teaching

3D printing represents innovation, cost reduction, and expertise – important factors not just for the market, but also for research and education. For this reason, working with the „X400 Pro 3D printer“ is becoming increasingly popular at various international universities. The use of the „X400 Pro“ 3D printer is also increasing in North Rhine-Westphalia, for example in the Faculty Workshop for Psychology at Ruhr University Bochum. This workshop uses the „X400 Pro“ to supply affiliated facilities and institutes with printed materials.

„The new 3D printer technology enables us to create objects and geometries (fig. left) that cannot be produced or can only be produced with great effort using conventional machining techniques and manual model making,“ explains workshop manager Willy Dreckmann.

This means, for example, that DNA curves can be printed, the highly twisted geometry of which normally presents a challenge in production. Furthermore, the most diverse requirements of the institutes are produced in many sizes. Satisfaction at the institutions is high, according to Willy Dreckmann.

Thanks to the „X400 Pro“ 3D printer, production costs are reduced and time expenditure is minimised. An FDM 3D printer (Fused Deposition) is responsible for this uncomplicated manufacturing process.
(Modelling), which heats a built-in plastic wire and „draws“ the desired object layer by layer using a nozzle. .
With the right 3D software, objects are prepared and optimised before printing begins. Faculty workshop manager Willy Dreckmann and his dedicated team are also enthusiastic about the quality and the results.
Naturally, dokuteam not only offers the optimal professional 3D printer but also gladly answers individual customer requests and questions about the product on-site. Services, workshops, and accessories are also offered as a supplement. The company is an authorised partner of German RepRap and offers professional 3D printers for rapid prototyping. The team from Münsterland stands for comprehensive advice and straightforward concepts to transport documents easily, digitally, and efficiently.
Founded in 1990, dokuteam continuously and successfully adapts to customer needs and is your competent system provider in the areas of 3D printers, printers, multifunction systems, software, and document management.
