OKE Automotive cuts costs with 3DGence Industry F340

OKE Automotive significantly reduces costs in tooling manufacturing for guide rails by using the 3DGence Industry F340 3D printer.

In the past, these guides were manufactured from sheet metal at considerable expense, with correspondingly long delivery times. These folding guides are now used „inline“ directly on the production lines at OKE Automotive and are an important part of the process. The use of 3D printing systems now opens up new design possibilities with corresponding process flexibility. Previous geometric limitations now play only a minor role. Prototypes can be adapted quickly and developed for specific applications. Additionally, costs are drastically reduced compared to the previous solution. In particular, traditional, manual labour factors are eliminated, and modification loops can be implemented with minimal effort.

In total, costs could be reduced by a factor of > 10.

We specifically chose the 3D Gence Industry F340. This device offers a large build volume and the ability to use various robust printing materials. The resulting printed objects therefore offer a wide range of applications, beyond the classic „sample creation“ of profiles or moulded parts.

„The collaboration with the experts from 3DDokuteam works very well. Technical queries are dealt with quickly. Ordering and delivery processes run smoothly and are processed promptly,“ says Dipl.-Wirt.Ing. (FH) Andreas Hofer.
